Not truly vinegar. This is the ruby-red juice that comes from the pickling brine after a year-long process of making Umeboshi Plums.
Oindo Ume Vinegar has a fragrant, lively tartness and subtle herbal flavor. A tart, salty, festive condiment with beneficial organic acids. Sprinkle on blanched or steamed vegetables, add to salad dressings, marinades, hot sauce, salsa, and dips. Excellent for making pickles. 4.3% acidity. No artificial dyes, preservatives, or chemicals. Also try it in pan-fried or baked dishes, such as fried rice and vegetable casseroles. Ume vinegar is especially tasty in salad dressings. Or try a few drops in a glass of cold water for a thirst-quenching drink!
Ingredients: Ume plum juice, natural sea salt, shiso (perilla) leaf or aka beefsteak leaf.
