Nattokinase+ is a combination of two potent fibrinolytic (clot-dissolving) enzymes: nattokinase and serrapeptase. Nattokinase is a potent enzyme complex isolated and purified from a traditional
Japanese food called natto. A fermented cheese-like food, natto has been used as a folk remedy for heart conditions for over a thousand years. In the 1980’s, researcher Hiroyuki Sumi, M.D., discovered the clot-dissolving ability of an enzyme found in natto,
which he named Nattokinase (“enzyme in natto”). Further research demonstrated that Nattokinase helps prevent blood clots from forming, dissolves existing blood clots, reduces fibrin (clotting protein), and supports normal blood pressure.
Serrapeptase is a proteolytic (protein dissolving) enzyme first isolated from a non-pathogenic bacteria found in the digestive tract of Japanese silk worms. The enzyme is used by the worms to digest their cocoons. In addition to its potent clot-busting abilities, serrapeptase also helps dissolve cysts and arterial plaque. Research has also demonstrated that serrapeptase reduces the pain from inflammation, making it a superior alternative to conventional inflammation medications. Each capsule provides 720 units of fibrinolytic enzyme activity from nattokinase and
300 units of fibrinolytic enzyme activity from serrapeptase, a total of 1,020 fibrinolytic units in an enteric-coated capsule.
This product is not for use by those on blood-thinning drugs (especially Coumadin/
Warfarin).
